Growing the Good

Our lives are full of emotions and experiences, some good and others not so good. We tend to focus on the not-so-good. We dredge up pain from the past, we fret over the future. But there’s SO MUCH GOOD in life. What if we spent more time focusing on that?

Try this. Find a place to sit quietly, close your eyes, and focus on one good thing in your life. Just one. It doesn’t have to be big; sometimes the little things are the sweetest. Really feel the goodness of that one thing. Let that good feeling sink into your bones. Let it swirl through your body. Feel it lift you up. Now, don’t you feel better?

It only takes a few minutes, but focusing on the good, giving it room to grow, can turn your day around. It might even turn your life around.

Blue Rose Meditation

The blue rose doesn’t exist in nature, and is therefore a symbol of mystery. During this meditation, we visualize a blue rose as a way to connect with life’s mysteries… and open to answers from the universe. Before starting this process, hold one or more questions in your mind. Your question may have to do with the mysteries of life, or could be something of a more everyday nature. The choice is yours.

Virtual Healing Circle

The world seems like it’s going crazy. Watch the news or scroll through social media and it’s easy to let disbelief and despair take hold of you. But I believe, at our core, humankind is essentially good. I believe that, under all the layers of wounding and societal programming, there is a spark of pure goodness in each human heart. This may sound like naiveté, but I prefer to call it faith.

I’m acting on this faith. Starting this Wednesday, January 15th at 7pm Eastern, I’ll hold a weekly Virtual Healing Circle to promote love and kindness in our world. This won’t be held in a classroom or other venue. There will be no registration, check-in, or fee. Each Wednesday around 7pm, you can join from anywhere in the world, wherever you happen to be at that time. Simply ground yourself, quiet your mind as best you can, and hold yourself in a state of love. You can remain in this state for as little as a few moments, or for as long as you’d like. While in this state, let yourself feel the inherent goodness of humankind, the true essence of who we are beneath the layers of dissonance. Let the love in your heart grow, surround you, and connect you with others who seek to heal the world. Together, we can do this!

Sacral Chakra Cleanse

The sacral chakra is located just below your navel. It’s the center of creativity, sensuality, and birth or rebirth. Orange is the color typically associated with this chakra. Its element is water. Having a healthy sacral chakra promotes a sense of balance and flexibility in life. If this chakra is clogged with old patterns or issues that have become stuck in place, this can manifest as abdominal or low back problems. Clearing this chakra can help your physical and emotional well-being.

Day of the Dead Meditation

My new guided meditation honors our loved ones in spirit by reaching out to connect with them. Before listening to this meditation, you may wish to take some time to prepare a sacred space. To do this, find a place which you feel has good energy, either in your home or outside. In this space, you may want to place a few objects that remind you of your loved ones in spirit. This may include pictures of them, their favorite foods or drinks, and objects that belonged to them or that they gave you. You may want to include candles and flowers. You may even want to do this meditation beside their final resting place. Do whatever feels right to you.

Spirit Team Meeting

The veil is thin this time of year. My latest meditation, Spirit Team Meeting, helps you reach out to your spiritual support team in order to open to their guidance and give them thanks. Your “spirit team” is unique to you, and can include angels, archangels, ascended masters, spirit guides, loved ones in spirit – even such creatures as fairies and dragons! It’s all about what works for you.

Clearing your field

Before I meditate – or any time I feel the need to clear my energy field – I do this quick process.

  1. Close my eyes and take a deep breath or two.
  2. Envision my energy reaching down to connect with Gaia’s energy (while saying or thinking the word “connected”).
  3. Envision my energy reaching up to connect with the universal/divine energy (while repeating the word “connected”).
  4. Feel myself surrounded by my own energy and that of my spirit team (while saying “surrounded”).
  5. Feel myself protected by my higher self – the part of me that has the bigger picture and can therefore guide me (while saying “protected”).

Try it with me. Take a deep breath or two. Let your body release the tension we tend to carry. Say or think:

Connected (picture your energy connecting with Gaia).

Connected (picture your energy connecting with the universe).

Surrounded (feel yourself surrounded by your own energy and that of your spirit team).

And protected (feel yourself supported by your own higher self).

Doesn’t that feel great? It takes less than a minute, but has a big impact – grounding, clarifying, and empowering you.
